Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Joblit web application (the "Service") operated by Joblit ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Joblit is a job search workflow tool that allows you to: fetch job listings from third-party platforms; create and manage resume profiles; generate AI-tailored resumes and cover letters matched to specific job descriptions; export documents as professional PDF files; and download AI Skill Packs for use with external AI services. The Service is provided as a web application accessible via modern web browsers.
3. Account Registration & Security
You must sign in using a Google or GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond the intended functionality
- Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or infringes on any third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service to submit fraudulent job applications or misrepresent your qualifications
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or input into the Service, including your resume data, cover letters, and professional information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Our Service: The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, AI prompt rules, skill pack templates, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Joblit and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.
AI-Generated Output: Content generated by AI through the Service (tailored resumes, cover letters) is provided to you for your personal and professional use. You are free to use, edit, and submit AI-generated content as your own. We make no claim of ownership over AI-generated output.
Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable license to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate resume and cover letter content. You acknowledge and agree that: AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate phrasing; you are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use; AI-generated content should not be submitted to employers without your review and approval; we do not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in job interviews, offers, or any specific outcomes; AI-generated content does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or any form of professional consultation.
7. Third-Party Data & Job Listings
The Service fetches job listings from third-party platforms. We do not control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of third-party job data. Job listings may be outdated, removed, or inaccurate. We are not responsible for the content of third-party job listings or the actions of employers posting those listings. Your interactions with employers are solely between you and the employer.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOBLIT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) AUD $100.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Joblit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any rights of a third party; any content you submit to the Service; or your use of AI-generated content in job applications or other contexts.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. 11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement.
12. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Joblit regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
- Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
